Proclaim ABS Personal Injury Case Management Software - Express Solicitors

“Any PI organisation wanting to survive and thrive must seriously consider adopting Proclaim ABS PI.”
James Maxey, Partner

Express Solicitors is a specialist accident and medical claims practice, dedicated to providing an expert and unrivalled service on a no-win, no-fee basis.

The Challenge
With the introduction of Alternative Business Structures (ABS), Express Solicitors required an integrated solution for nose-to-tail management of personal injury claims. Of key importance were scalability (Express employs over 100 staff and is expanding rapidly) and the ability to manage work processes within claims management, personal injury litigation and medical reporting.

The Solution
Eclipse’s Proclaim ABS PI solution is the market’s only system dedicated to the requirements of ABS-era personal injury organisations. Proclaim ABS PI was implemented across all Express business units, providing a complete solution at every step of the claims process.

The Results
The system allows Express to take a global approach to its cases, regardless of entry point into the business or the type of claim. As Proclaim manages files across FNOL (first notification of loss), medical reporting and litigation, Express staff have access to a centralised dashboard for viewing and tracking otherwise complex and disparate data and timelines

By utilising dedicated Proclaim workflows dependent upon the type and stage of claim, Express is assured of a consistent and quality approach to personal injury caseloads. All administrative chores are automated, freeing up ‘value adding’ time at every step of the process.

Express has ambitious plans to expand further, following a £3million investment in early 2012, and sees Proclaim as the perfect partner to facilitate that growth.

Alternative Business Structures - Land of Opportunity?

October will undoubtedly bring change to the legal services marketplace, but Alternative Businesses Structures can be just as much an opportunity as a threat.

Later this year the time for talking will finally be over. Ever since the publication of the Legal Services Act four years ago, there have been varying predictions on the scale and impact of Alternative Business Structures (ABS).

Some commentators have painted a bleak picture for current providers with the likes of Tesco, ASDA, Virgin and the AA all queuing up to take advantage of deregulation which will allow nonlegals to either own law firms or hold management positions therein.  However, others have suggested a less dramatic impact on the market with a few well-known consumer brands - banks, estate agents and so on - adding legal services to their existing offerings.
